Public Art Mural
MAC partnered with the city of Towson, Maryland to create a colorful large scale mural on their local public library building with our artist Ryan Adams. The artist’s geometric designs in a transitional gradient across six panels perfectly complimented the unique architecture of the building’s exterior. We incorporated some hidden messages within the piece that relates to the mission of the public library. These values include: LEARN, CREATE, READ EXPLORE, CONNECT & GROW. It’s a fun interactive experience for the public to try to decipher these words within each panel!
The dynamic artwork morphs at different perspectives to create endless abstract pieces from various viewpoints. The sun reflecting on the surface and shadows being cast on the wall throughout the day creates effects that bring this artwork to life. The artist is extremely proud of this work being one of his largest works to date. It took our team about 11 days to install this piece as we fought through the rain. In the end, we couldn’t be happier with the results. Thank you to the Towson Chamber of Commerce and Towson Public Art Committee for being such a pleasure to work with!
