Devin Finley

Devin Finley is the sole proprietor and operator/artist at Define Arts. Define Arts was born from an unexpected and critical turn of events in his life that forced him to take a step back, evaluate himself and make a change. 

In April 2013, Devin suffered massive heart, liver and kidney failure and was rushed to the ICU. The incredible individuals at UW medical found a way to overcome overwhelming odds and saved his life, giving him a second chance.

Given his health, he was no longer able, nor did he any longer have an interest in pursuing a more physically demanding career that he once knew. Confined to his bed at home, he began to sketch, paint and create pieces that expressed the mental and physical challenges that he was going through. These restraints provided time to realize what Devin truly longed to do for a living.

I’m sure you all know the old cliche “Everything happens for a reason.” Well, this isn’t just a saying for him because if it wasn’t for his health complications, he would have never taken the plunge to pursue this career that he is impassioned for.
