Fonte
Born in New York City, raised in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. Artist Fonté comes from a family of artists, and found his outlet early on in his youth through graffiti Art. Over the last 10 yrs Fonté has since changed his direction from a graffiti art style background to more of his own style of art.
Fonté paints what he likes to call “Inner City nostalgia.” It’s a combination of vibrant sunset colors such as the Twilight Hr, or Dusk… along with his city life vibes & classic city infrastructures… like water towers, phone poles, birds, street lights, clouds, and buildings…in an askew silhouette style.
He has since continued his art education from SAIC in graphic design. Fonté also grew up working with Gallery 37 of Chicago, and, Chicago’s After School Matters program with a concentration in outdoor murals for youth through out the city. Aside from his community work, Fonté paints murals, and collaborates with fellow artists through out Chicago, and other cities around the globe.
