Joker

Joker is one of the few representatives left of the late 80’s Bay Area graffiti generation. A native San Franciscan, he has been involved with the SF graffiti scene since 1986. After taking a 15 year break from the spray can to pursue a career in youth development and social work and raise a family, he exploded back on to the Bay Area graffiti scene in 2009. He is known for painting iconic San Francisco skyline silhouettes with radiant sunsets. His work has been commissioned in murals throughout the Bay Area. He embraces the concept of using public artwork to provide opportunities for building cultural bridges and community collaborations. His work is distinct, vibrant and precise, and he transitions seamlessly back and forth between graffiti style paintings and classical style community mural work. He currently makes a living as a professional artist and curates for the Lilac Alley Mural Project. All the while continuing to produce top notch graffiti murals throughout the Bay Area.
