Maxwell Rasche

Maxwell Rasche is an interdisciplinary visual artist known by the moniker @Dogslobber. Raised near the elevated freight train tracks running through western Chicago, his exposure to top-notch graffiti at a young age shaped his development as a muralist and creative professional. Max moved to New Orleans as a young adult 3 days before Hurricane Katrina made landfall in 2005. Inspired by the resilience of NOLA and its people, he began exploring and painting in the plethora of blighted buildings remaining throughout the redevelopment of the city. Over the past 13 years Max has become a fixture of the street art and graffiti scene in New Orleans. Nowadays he splits time as a creative professional in the advertising industry and as an independent artist producing work in variety of media; although for him, nothing will ever match the feeling of breathing new life and vibrancy into a bare, time-worn wall.
