Multi-city Street Art Mural Campaign for Horizon
MAC partnered with Horizon Therapeutics for their latest campaign bringing awareness to gout. Horizon Therapeutics produces innovative medicines addressing the needs of patients suffering from rare diseases. This was an exciting chance to assist the Horizon team bring public attention to this often misunderstood disease through art.
We designed and painted a series of public artwork installations across 4 US cities – Atlanta, Houston, Charlotte, and Phoenix. These were large scale walls in major areas with a simple and straightforward message to “Take a closer look at Gout”. The combination of neon text and skeleton visuals invoked scanned X-ray references that resonated with a broad audience. Technically known as ‘dect imaging,’ this innovative technique detects neon fluid buildup in bones and joints, serving as a crucial sign of gout.
Our Street Art Mural Campaign creates intrigue for viewers to learn more, prompting them to visit Horizon’s website. The strategy was to target drivers in these markets. Clearly seeing this driving by with gout shown in its most common forms, focusing on the spine, hands, and feet. We aimed to shed light on this disease and deliver crucial information to the American population, contributing to greater understanding and awareness.
