It’s not everyday that MAC receives a request to create a wheat paste mural. So, when we received the request to transform a conference room into a 80’s NYC Lower East Side graffiti scene, we jumped at the opportunity! Silversmith Capital Partners, a Boston based growth equity investment firm, commissioned MAC to add a finishing touch to their impressive space full of contemporary street art inspired work.

MAC’s skilled graffiti artist went to work in creating a mural depicting 80’s NYC Lower East Side by using the guerrilla marketing wheatpaste process to place poster bills. We wanted to keep with its authenticity by adding layers and textures  to the conference walls.  Various posters from the era along with stickers and painted graffiti styles that would be found from that time. We always have fun with these style of murals. Scraping walls, ripping up posters, throwing paint. Going back to our graffiti roots is what keeps us inspired!
