MAC collaborated with CSM Sport & Entertainment Agency and Citi for this year’s Paralympics. Part of a multi-city initiative, the murals celebrate the athletes’ achievements, encourage the public to #StareAtGreatness and help to change the perception of people with disabilities. We were tasked to replicate the fine artwork by disabled artist BD White. The mural depicts athletes Scout Bassett (Para Athletics), Brad Snyder (Paratriathlon), Nicky Nieves (Sitting Volleyball), Trevon Jenifer (Wheelchair Basketball). He chose to use a dry brush style to depict motion in all the athletes. BD chose to highlight the phrase “Sunlight over me no matter what you do”. Complimenting the campaign’s Stare at Greatness movement. Our artists chose spray paint as their medium to replicate BD’s work. It is a good example of the broad range the paint had to produce work. We’re happy with the campaigns success and our involvement!
