Qwynto is a mural artist and visual storyteller who creates large-scale immersive paintings inspired by his changing surroundings. Traveling and meeting people from around the world has a huge impact on his work. His images are driven by narratives held together by unique characters, elements, and colors. Qwynto received his BFA in illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he developed his distinct style. To support himself through college, he worked multiple stints with AmeriCorps, initially spending ten months traveling and working in the western United States. He led groups of blind and visually impaired teens during his time with the Conservation Corps, teaching them leadership skills. After graduating college Qwynto moved to Memphis to embark on his personal practice. Today, he is producing a number of murals, developing his own clothing brand, and continues his painting study.
