Zach Rockstad

Zach Rockstad is a full-time illustrator, sign painter and muralist, as well as, in the artist’s own words, “a jolly old soul who’s existence is based upon rendering life through familiar imagery.” Known for his thoughtful portraits and cheeky characters, Zach’s style references the “clean lines and typography of sign painting” with a street smart sensibility. When it comes to his work, he is, among other things, “confident with confusion, yet attracted to human imperfections that continue to inspire.” Zach’s art can be viewed in galleries and on walls throughout Seattle as well as other cities around the country, including Portland and New York City. Recent projects and exhibits include the group show, Never No More at Vermillion in Seattle, and a recent large-scale mural collaboration on the famous Brass Tacks wall in Georgetown with fellow Seattle artist, Joe Nix.
