Melanin Girl Culture (Anecia Hargrove)

Hi there! My name is Anecia and I am the artist behind Melanin Girl Culture. I find art in the process of healing and becoming the person we envision and dream to be. I was born in KCMO and am a mama of three beautiful boys. I love creating art surrounding women of all skin tones but especially my melanin sisters. Representation is so important especially in art. I express myself and my healing through my art and hope I can inspire you to become the greater version of yourself!

Heartbroken Reality (Sam Canales)

Sam Canales is a Pop-Culture Cartoon Artist, Graphic Designer, and Painter known in Las Vegas as Heartbroken Reality. He has made a name for himself in the Vegas Valley, working on abstract cartoon illustrations with local Casinos and businesses. Provided creative conceptual artwork for events at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club, such as Instagrammys, Snapchat Awards, and Encore Beach Club’s Blockparty. He has also done live paintings and collaborations with local events that support the art community here in Las Vegas. All around has put his creative touch on a world that sometimes feels like a blank canvas.

Emily May Rose

Emily May Rose is an award-winning artist and illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. Based on her own experiences, Emily’s work features a cast of recurring characters (most notably her weed-smoking, pizza-eating raccoons) to depict humorous situations that are relatable to many of us who are trying to survive in an urban environment. Her work can be found in many formats including murals, editorial illustration, apparel design, installations, and gallery settings. Her murals can be found all over the world where she’s painted in street art festivals, artist residencies, and other commissions during her various travels.

In February of 2016, Emily opened Northern Contemporary in Toronto. The space has since grown to take over the historic Parkdale Theatre building, and is home to an art gallery, event space, and a 30 person studio collective, that she works out of herself. Northern Contemporary hosts all kinds of exhibitions, events, launches, and markets, with a heavy focus on illustration, urban, pop art, and experimental work.

TikTok Street Art Campaign in Atlanta

MAC had the opportunity to contribute to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta for an outdoor mural campaign. We were super excited to work with Tik Tok, the destination for short-form mobile videos. With the Super Bowl around the corner, we partnered with them to launch a multi-tiered campaign. In short, five of our incredibly talented artists expressed themselves with beautiful murals throughout Atlanta.

Grabbing local flair with five featured artists. Dr. Dax and Awe2, as well as influence from Chicago and NY with artists Mast, Amuse126 and Merlot. Each artist incorporated the “Dare to be” campaign theme. Translating it into their own meaning and vision. All artists recognized the ability of Tik Tok to provide its audience with the freedom of expression and creativity. The power of the platform allows users to be authentic. Therefore encouraging curiosity, realness, and anything their heart is striving for. Each artist’s mural did exactly that. The artwork evokes the inner desires and dreams of the individuals experiencing them. Moreover contemplating what they “dare to be”.

The street art campaign murals were installed the weekend before the Super Bowl. Thanks to the outdoor wall space and production team at Overall Murals. Artists flew in to sign their murals and conduct content interviews with Overall Murals and content partners Hypbeast, Complex, and Uproxx. Murals and interviews were also featured across the social channels of numerous social media influencers, IGN, Thrillist, and NowThis. Above all, the campaign was a great success in driving attention to the brand and taking advantage of Atlanta’s influx in tourism and the trending topics surrounding the Super Bowl.

Ben Johnston

Ben Johnston is a multi-disciplinary creative known for his bold text-based murals and fine art pieces. He challenges traditional notions of the relationship between language and image, inviting viewers to engage with the complexities of the contemporary world in new ways. With a commitment to his craft, Ben is constantly evolving and reinventing his artistic practice to produce works that are both visually captivating and intellectually stimulating.

ENOE

As an artist with 10+ years of experience, ENOE has developed paintings that speak to him and the viewers. He work primarily towards realism but his creative range is wide.

It is often noted that his paintings convey a controlled dynamic sense of movement accompanied with beautiful vibrant colors. Enoe recognizes the complexities of the public art process, realizing that a strong vision is needed for each unique situation.

Eric Vozzola

Eric Vozolla

Eric Vozzola is an artist and designer based in Las Vegas, NV. His artwork is known for its vibrant color palettes and nods to his surrounding desert environment. He creates mini-universes full of wonder that balance his appreciation for abstraction, geometry, realism, color theory, nature, and psychedelia. Eric finds purpose and inspiration with his artwork through the love of supporting his wife and their two sons, protecting the environment, and offering colorful joy to communities.

Eric received his BFA in Graphic Design from UNLV in 2011. Eric has shown studio work in solo and group shows locally and nationally, and has created murals and public artworks all over the Las Vegas area and Henderson, NV, as well as in Reno, NV, and Portland, OR. Eric formerly held a decade-long, agency and in-house graphic design career, with his fine art and mural practice alongside, but left his “9-5” design career in early 2019 to pursue his thriving art career full-time.

Vozzola has created artwork for such clients as Starbucks Corporation, Resorts World Las Vegas, Life Is Beautiful Festival, Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Circa Resort & Casino, Nevada State College, DTP Companies, the City of Las Vegas, the City of Henderson, Meow Wolf at Area 15, and various private residences and businesses around Las Vegas.

Dan Bunn

Dan is a mixed media painter with a diverse skill set. Dan has been involved with graffiti in multiple cities in the USA for a number of years. He has studied classical oil painting techniques at Grand Central Atelier now located in Queens, where he teaches painting and drawing in the core program. Dan has painted large abstract murals in the past, and is in the process of bridging oil painting techniques and spray painted or brush murals.

A Collaboration with Xi’an Famous Foods for a Mural Masterpiece

In a dynamic fusion of art and culinary excellence, MAC facilitated a groundbreaking collaboration between renowned artist Seb Gorey and Jason Wang, the founder of Xi’an Famous Foods. This partnership culminated in the creation of an awe-inspiring interior mural adorning the vibrant ambiance of Xi’an Famous Foods’ Flushing NY location.

Sophie Pollock

With a background in fine art and a rapidly growing interest in urban design, through my large-scale mural works I hope to continue exploring the ways in which we can nurture imagination and creative exploration within and beyond the built world. Play is essential to the way one feels a sense of wonder and joy within their environment. I aim to evoke feelings of playfulness through bold color use and through the subversion of traditional motifs, such as flowers and eyes. Mural arts have the power to connect people together. They also can encourage the viewer to reflect upon existing infrastructure while empowering them to imagine new realities.

I want to empower folks to dream, wonder, and imagine. Through mural arts we can impact people daily, and I want to be a part of telling a lasting story like that. I love the thrill of painting something large, the collaborative effort and joy in working hands-on to create something meaningful for others.
