Dan Bunn

Dan is a mixed media painter with a diverse skill set. Dan has been involved with graffiti in multiple cities in the USA for a number of years. He has studied classical oil painting techniques at Grand Central Atelier now located in Queens, where he teaches painting and drawing in the core program. Dan has painted large abstract murals in the past, and is in the process of bridging oil painting techniques and spray painted or brush murals.

This partnership culminated in the creation of an awe-inspiring interior mural adorning the vibrant ambiance of Xi’an Famous Foods’ Flushing NY location.

Sophie Pollock

With a background in fine art and a rapidly growing interest in urban design, through my large-scale mural works I hope to continue exploring the ways in which we can nurture imagination and creative exploration within and beyond the built world. Play is essential to the way one feels a sense of wonder and joy within their environment. I aim to evoke feelings of playfulness through bold color use and through the subversion of traditional motifs, such as flowers and eyes. Mural arts have the power to connect people together. They also can encourage the viewer to reflect upon existing infrastructure while empowering them to imagine new realities.

I want to empower folks to dream, wonder, and imagine. Through mural arts we can impact people daily, and I want to be a part of telling a lasting story like that. I love the thrill of painting something large, the collaborative effort and joy in working hands-on to create something meaningful for others.

Candy Kuo

Born in Taipei and raised in South Texas, Candy seamlessly weaves together Eastern and Western aesthetics, producing a style that embodies the bridge between diverse cultures. Her artwork often displays a captivating dichotomy, where vibrant colors depict dark narratives and low brow aesthetics harmonize with refined artistic techniques.

Over the past seven years, she has made significant contributions to the field of large-scale installations and murals. Having called Austin home for more than half of her life, she possesses a deep connection to the heart of Central Texas, which is beautifully reflected in her portfolio. Her versatile style ranges from realism to bold, graphic designs, showcasing her mastery of composition, expression, and illustration. Through these transformative creations, she effortlessly communicates stories and emotions without the need for words or sound, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in her visual symphony. Her extensive experience in large-scale installations and murals is a testament to her expertise and commitment to her craft. In addition to collaborative work with local leaders, communities, artists, and organizations, she often embarks on solo mural projects with a recent notable accomplishment covering an expansive area of approximately 900 square feet. From operating scissor lifts to working on scaffolding in diverse conditions and meeting people from all over, she adeptly adjusts to the unpredictable nature of the industry.

Ryan Jaenke

Ryan Jaenke was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. During his formative years, he discovered inspiration in the urban environment, observing and drawing influence from the emergence of graffiti art, underground music, and skateboarding. Recently, Ryan has found his rhythm by dividing his time between painting large-scale murals and working in his studio. These creations stem from his enduring passion for graffiti art and street culture, incorporating iconic and abstract elements filtered through his design sensibilities.

Ryan has been honored with various grants and residencies, including the CPAC Creative Workforce Fellowship and the Creative Fusion residency, providing him with opportunities to work on projects covering hundreds of feet of building surfaces. Notable commissions include works for Warby Parker in Cleveland and New York City, Meta in New Albany, Ohio, and Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland. Ryan currently resides and works in Lakewood, Ohio.

Unveiling Fusion 92’s Inspiring Office Mural

Fusion 92, an award winning marketing innovation agency turned to MAC to connect them with the right artist for their new office space mural in Chicago. After our comprehensive review, we partnered them with the talented local graffiti artist Merlot. We created a piece featuring the phrase “Be Curious.”

The end result was a typographic exploration overlaying traditional graffiti letters on top of the artist’s signature abstract pattern work. The color palette for this piece was pulled from the company branding guide while giving the artist some creative freedom to incorporate some complimentary colors to add some depth and bring it to life.

Michael Goodman

My name’s Mickey, I’m from Atlanta & currently living in Bed-Stuy, BK. I’ve painted signs and murals for 10+ years locally and abroad. I’m good with water based, oil and aerosol paints. I enjoy drafting and figurative drawing in my free time & I can paint almost anything but photo realism.

Basta

Basta is a multi-disciplinary Latino artist based in DC and Richmond who has been painting walls since 2005. Hip Hop and graffiti art from New York in the 90s captivated Basta growing up and are a heavy influence in his style. His creative pursuit is exploring an evolving canvas that mixes the visual language of society’s collective memory and interaction with pop culture, comics, music posters and sign painting. Basta exercises a versatile use of mediums including spray paint, brush, and wheatpasting poster art. Every project is an endeavor that carries the opportunity of building process, experience and growth. Basta has painted for a variety of clients including New Balance, Chef Jose Andres, The Kennedy Center of Performing Arts, Eaton Hotel, the DC Public Library, Broccoli City Festival, Monster Energy and more.

Vibrant Murals for Synchrony Transform Bryant Park

MAC linked with Synchrony, a financial company that supplies credit cards for big-name stores, for 2 murals in their new ‘Innovation Center” in Bryant Park, Manhattan. This space is a hub for visitors to see their portfolio of work and their products with new technology. We used this idea as inspiration – showing the forward motion of tech with the backdrop of NY and vibrant colors in free-flowing style brushwork.

We wanted this piece to show movement and energy, growth and development over time from industrial to digital. Another NYC Street Art Mural we did for this client was in an internal part of the floor. We used the same color scheme but this time with color blocks as side profiles of different people, representing diversity and inclusivity. One of the heads is the Statue of Liberty! The murals showcased a range of styles. First, a more textured and raw graffiti style. Secondly, a bold and graphic mural.
